Huawei Mate 40, Mate 40 Pro and Mate 40 Pro + Launch, know their specifications


Huawei Mate 40, Mate 40 Pro, Mate 40 Pro + launched on Thursday by Huawei as its flagship phone. The new series is an upgrade to the Mate 30 series and comes equipped with many premium features. All three phones of this series have an OLED display panel with a refresh rate of 90 Hz. All three models also have a 240Hz touch sampling rate. The Mate 40 Pro and Mate 40 Pro Plus comes with Kirin 9000 5G chipset, which is based on a 5 nm processor. All three phones have EMUI 11 based on the Android 10 operating system, but instead of Google’s mobile service, it comes equipped with Huawei Mobile Service.

Huawei Mate 40 specifications

The dual-sim Huawei Mate 40 runs on EMUI 11.0 based on Android 10. The phone has a 6.5-inch full-HD + (1,080×2,376 pixels) OLED display, which has a 90Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. The phone works on the Kirin 9000E processor instead of the Kirin 9000. Huawei Mate 40 comes with 8 GB RAM.

The Mate 40 comes with a triple rear camera setup, featuring a 50-megapixel wide-angle primary sensor with f / 1.9 lens, a 16-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor with an f / 2.2 lens, and an 8-megapixel f. /2.4 telephoto lens. The front includes a 13-megapixel sensor with an F / 2.4 wide-angle lens.

According to the launch event Livestream, the Huawei Mate 40 includes 128 GB onboard storage, however, the website featured 256 GB of storage. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G FDD LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS / A-GPS, 3.5mm headphone jack and USB Type-C port. The phone comes equipped with a 4,200mAh battery, which supports 40W fast charging. The Huawei Mate 40 includes a gesture sensor, gravity sensor, IR sensor, in-display fingerprint scanner, gyroscope, compass, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, laser sensor, and color temperature sensor.

The dimensions of the phone are 158.6×72.5×8.8 mm and weigh 188 grams. The Vegan leather option of Huawei Mate 40 comes with 9.2 mm thickness and weighs 184 grams.

Huawei Mate 40 Pro specifications
The dual-SIM Huawei Mate 40 Pro features a 6.76-inch full-HD + (1,344×2,772 pixels) olead display, which offers a 90Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate, just like the standard model. However it works on the Kirin 9000 processor and comes equipped with 8 GB RAM.

Huawei Mate 40 Pro offers a slightly different triple rear camera setup compared to the Mate 40 for photos and videos. Instead of a 16-megapixel secondary sensor, the Pro variant gets a 20-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle f / 1.8 lens. The third camera is a 12-megapixel sensor with F / 3.4 telephoto lens. The Pro model gets the same 13-megapixel camera sensor as the standard model, as well as a 3D depth sensing camera.

The Huawei Mate 40 Pro offers 256 GB of storage and connectivity is the same as the Mate 40, however, it does not include the 3.5mm head phone jack. It gets a 4,400mAh battery with 66W fast charging and 50W wireless charging support. The sensor offers an additional 3D face recognition sensor and barometer pressure sensor compared to the standard model. The dimensions of the phone are 162.9×75.5×9.1 mm and weigh 212 grams. The vegan leather option is 9.5mm thick and weighs the same as the glass back variant.

Huawei Mate 40 Pro + specifications
The Huawei Mate 40 Pro Plus is very similar to the Mate 40 Pro with some major differences. The Mate 40 Pro + offers 12 GB RAM and a quad rear camera setup. Along with the three camera sensors on the Mate 40 Pro, here you get an 8 megapixel superzoom camera with 10x optical zoom and f / 4.4 aperture.

Huawei Mate 40 Pro + also has a 3D deep sensing camera on the back. The dimensions of the phone are 162.9×75.5×8.8 mm and weigh 230 grams. There is no vegan leather option in it.

Huawei Mate 40, Huawei Mate 40 Pro, Huawei Mate 40 Pro +: Price
The  8 GB + 128 GB variant of the Huawei Mate 40 is priced at 899 Euros and has been offered in Black, Green, Mystic Silver, White and Yellow color options. The  8 GB + 256 GB variant of the Huawei Mate 40 Pro is priced at  1,199Euros  and is offered in the same colors as the Mate 40. The only 12 GB + 256 GB variant of the Huawei Mate 40 Pro Plus has been launched for 1,399 euros. It is offered in Ceramic Black and Ceramic White color options.

There is also a Porsche Design Mate 40 RS, which comes in 12 GB + 512 GB configuration and is priced at 2,295 euros. It has a different design than regular Mate 40 series phones and is offered in black and white color options.
